Abstract

Despite substantial federal investments in advanced manufacturing, the United States faces three critical infrastructure constraints that undermine reindustrialization efforts: insufficient energy capacity, hollowed-out industrial supply chains, and a shrinking technical workforce.

  • Jahara Matisek, US Naval War College / Northwestern University
    Lt Col Jahara Matisek (PhD) is a US Air Force command pilot, nonresident research fellow at the US Naval War College, senior fellow at the Payne Institute for Public Policy, and visiting scholar at Northwestern University.
